The NLI is a binding agreement between a Prospective Student-Athlete (PSA) and an NLI member institution such as the University of Hawai’i.

  • A PSA agrees to attend the institution full-time for one academic year; and
  • The institution agrees to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year.

Each year, NLI regular signing day is the 1st Wednesday in February. Last year, however, the NCAA implemented an early signing period in December.

Head Football Coach Nick Rolovich inked 17 signees in December’s new early signing period and an additional 10 signees during the traditional signing period for a total of 27 in the Class of 2018.

For the 7th year, Nā Koa Football Club hosted a NLI Signing Day Reception on the night of the regular period, this year on Wednesday, February 07, 2018. This annual fundraiser included a group of 80 dedicated supporters who were treated to an award-winning dinner by the culinary students at Kapi`olani Community College’s Ka` Ikena Dining Room. Guests also got to meet and mingle with the entire coaching staff, including the five new coaches. The evening culminated with Coach Rolo introducing eight members of his 2018 recruiting class (already attending classes at Manoa) and the viewing of the highlight videos of the entire class.
